English version - International Relations
One of VŠOH's long term goals is the creation and strengthening of international relations. Through extensive cooperation with international colleges of related focus and through taking part in mutual activities within the curriculum we strive to create an international environment at our institution. VŠOH's strategy in the field of international cooperation comes from, among other things, Erasmus program activities. Extensive cooperation mostly takes place through student, teacher, and employee exchanges and through mutual research activities. Research activitiesinclude, for example, studies focused on intercultural differences within the sphere of the tourist industry, legislative differences of countries involved in the tourist industry or comparative analysis of what the tourist industry offers.
VŠOH's Fundamental Prioritiesin the Development of International Relations.
Organizational Structure of the International Department
Statutory representative - The highest VŠOH representative. The statutory representative has the definitive word and veto power for all international agreements concluded with international institutions within the Erasmus program and beyond as well as for the distribution of funds under the Erasmus program. Monitors and signs all Erasmus reports and requests.
Head of International Department - Responsible for the organization, negotiation, and monitoring of international relations outside the Erasmus program for both European and non-European countries. Creates internal rules and regulations governing particular areas. Communicates with international schools, negotiates meetings, drafts agreements.
Institutional Erasmus Coordinator - His/her main task is the coordination of all mobility (student, faculty, and staff), cooperation with NAEP, communication with international schools participating in the Erasmus program, negotiating meetings with representatives of these schools, concluding bilateral agreements (in which case the final signature must be the statutory representative's). Further creates calls for applications for all mobility opportunities. Ensures the promotion of Erasmus within our school and beyond.
Assistant Coordinator of Erasmus - Two VŠOH were selected who expressed interest in helping out with Erasmus coordination. They assist the main Erasmus coordinator with the promotion of the Erasmus program among students, communication with other students, and the organization of informational seminars for students. In the case of arriving students, they act as a 'buddy' and take care of international students for the duration of their stay. A prerequisite for fulfilling this role is a very good command of the English language.
